Factors Affecting Bracket Position in Indirect Bonding Systems

 This study aimed to comparing the accuracy to the model and the actual intraoral cavity can provide new insights into the factors affecting the accuracy of IDB.

 Standard triangulated language (STL) date of models, intraoral brackets, and dentition were obtained using an intraoral scanner, and deviations were measured on a computer in three male and four female patients undergoing orthodontic treatment with the Insignia (Ormco, Oramge, CA) system. Statistical analyses were performed to determine the degree of influence and comparisons for each factor. There were significant differences in errors between the operators but not between tooth surfaces or tray morphologies. For the above reasons, the accuracy of IDB could be because the intraoral technique has a great effect on the accuracy of an IDB than the tooth surface or tray morphology.
