The flow of water from the pouring equipment with a quick up-down mechanism of the tiltcenter was studied experimentally. When the quick up-down mechanism was used, the flow rate at the start of pouring rose up more rapidly and that at the end of pouring cut off more rapidly than when this mechanism was not used. Various patterns of the change of flow rate at the intermediate region of pouring can be obtained by adjusting appropriate values of the up-down strokes of the tilt-center and the tilting speed of the pouring machine.
