The forest around nature reserve throughout the world has been exposed to various kind of disturbance activities, causing a huge decline of forested area. Russia Far East is one of many regions that deforestation around nature reserves are still going on. Clearcutting associated with fire is the leading cause of forest decline around the boarder of Zeysky State Nature Reserve. This study uses remotely sense data to monitor the impacted areas by such disturbance activities. The study provides information on forest vulnerability. The study uses Landsat images during 1988-2018 to map and classify disturbed areas and forest cover changes. Our finding shows that forest around nature reserve experiences disturbance activities at different rates, making some areas to be more vulnerable.
