A revision is made of the species and several infraspecific taxa of the genus Ctenidium. Relationships between Ctenidium and allied genera are discussed. Taxonomic data and distributions as well as a key to the species are provided. Twenty-one species are recognized, 3 of which are new to science: C. schofieldii, C. novoguineense, and C. andoi. Eleven taxa of Ctenidium are treated as synonyms of other species of the same genus, and 13 taxa are synonymized to species of other genera or transferred to other genera.
