Disturbances of movement of the jaw caused by the internal administration of tranquilizer (Novamin) were found in a 26-year-old male and a 15-year-old male who had a tympanoplasty six days ago. A suspicion of tetanus was initially entertained without considering the side effect of tranquilizer. Para-sympatholytic agents were effective in these cases.
