若年者における無自覚性難聴

抄録

The author tested the hearing acuity in 1989 persons aged 14 to 25 years at a physical examination for an employment in the Fukuoka Communications Hospital. In 1989 cases tested during last five years, 134 cases (6.7%) who had hearing loss without consciousness of deafness were found and 94% of these cases had the hearing loss in 4000Hz and/or 6000Hz. In 12 cases, possible causes of deafness were found and 9 cases had work histories in noisy environments. The author tested 402 cases in last one year and found 37 hard of hearing cases (9.2%) who were unconscious of deafness. There was a tendency for young persons with unconscious deafness to increse.
