上喉頭神経痛症例

抄録

A patient with idiopathic neuralgia of the superior laryngeal nerve was cured by alcohol injection of the nerve. In this case, a biopsied segment of the nerve showed normal findings by the electro-microscopic examination.
The results of examinations lead to the conclusion that idiopathic neuralgia may be caused by some difficulty of receptors of the sensory nerve in the mucous membrane of the larynx. In addition, authors reported that the vocal cords of the dog kept normal color and form after the internal branch of the superior laryngeal nerve was resected.
