In a case of buccal abscess with acute paranasal sinusitis, Eikenella corrodens was identified as the causative agent. Eikenella corrodens is a gram negative anaerobic microor ganism which has been rarely isolated as the causative agent of diseases in the ear nose or throat. In this paper the clinical course of this case and its bacteriological features are reported.
