Cartilagenous tumor of the larynx is relatively rare. Only 19 cases have been reported previously in Japan. Two cases of chondrosarcoma of the larynx are reported in this paper. Because of the extreme rarity of metastasis, partial resection of the larynx, including normal cartilage adjacent to the tumor, was considered to be reasonable for the treatment of chondrosarcoma to preserve the patient's voice.
