With the first case the mucosae and the bony septum between the right and the left frontal sinuses had disappeared. Both the anterior and the posterior bony walls of the sinus were found defective. The frontal skin pulsated with the brain pressure through the fluid retained in the united sinus. The diagnosis of frontal sinus mucocele was established.
The second case showed a destruction of the upper bone of the right orbital wall with the eye ball displaced downward by the cyst. The patient complained of the right visual disorder, diplopia and exophthalmus. The case was diagnosed as pyocele of the right frontal sinus.
