Bilateral Cleft Lip Primary Repair

Abstract

We described a method of the reconstruction of the oral vestibulum in the prolabium. The premaxilla is covered by the mucous membranes of the cleft lip margins in the prolabial tissue and reconstructed the oral side mucosal membrane of the prolabium is reconstructed using tissue from the non-cleft side cleft margins. The result is a satisfactory lip structure with a deep oral vestibulum and a good continuous alveolar arch.
