Abstract

Two patients complained of hearing impairment, high fever and diarrhea after returning from abroad, and they were diagnosed as having severe typhoid fever based on bacteriological examination. Audiometry performed before treatment reveated sensori-neural deafness of both ears.
After treatment with Chloram p henicol and Amino Benzil Penicillin, the patients hearing level returned to normal.
