A case of adnoid cystic carcinoma originating in the root of tongue is reported. A 59-year-old man complained of bilateral submaxillary tumor and pain in the mouth. He is progressing favorably after a successful operation and doing well. However, the possibility of metastasis or relapse of adenoid cystic carcinoma requires careful observation.
