The demand of the photo-flash lamp has been increasing rapidly since the end of the War, and there appear many types of the photo flash lamps in the market. Recently, however the new types are going to be chosen after selection made.
Some of them are quite different from foreign-made. For example, aluminium wire is used as light-generating matirial for M contact photo-flash lamp, but for F contact lamp foil is also enclused in addition to primer. We studied the Japanese lamp to find out whether its construction is rational from the point of characteristic.
We experimented on the difference in the light-generating character between aluminum wire and foil, analysed their caractiristics.
Further more, assuming curves of light-generating and light-vanishing character which we havebeen thinking up to this time and assuming that the light-generating characteristic of photo-flash lamp is the difference between them, we proposed general analysing method of characteristic. In addition to the above assumption, we also assumed the existence of flashing range and introduced the relationship between the priming state and the light-generating character.
The characters of the new photo-flash lamp which have been manufactured on trial based on theabove assumption are described below.
