Abstract

The surface treatment of steel core for devitrified enamel was investigated to obtain excellent adhesion and good insulation property. The mixed acid (sulfuric acid/nitric acid) was found to be superior for uniform roughening of the steel core. Electroless nickel plating was effective to improve the adhesion and insulation property of porcelain layer.
