Agglomeration and softening behaviors of coal ashes were investigated based on temperature variation of their electric resistance for avoiding a clinker trouble in a fluidized-bed coal gasifier. A clinker trouble temperature in a laboratory-scale fluidized-bed coal gasifier will be presumed from an agglomeration temperature decided from meansurement of the electric resistance.
