Detailed analysis of coal ash particles was performed with use of CCSEM, analyzed char particles were derived from process development unit for coal gasifier. In this report, we clarify the effect of coal brand and air ratio, one of the typical operation conditions of gasifier, on characteristics of coal ash particles, such as, particle size distribution, density distribution, ratio of excluded ash particles. And we presented new concept for modeling of ash formation in gasifier.
