Coal charged bulk density in coke oven is important for the production and quality of coke. In this study, we investigated the application of the space ratio estimation model for estimation of coal bulk density with different grinding particle size. We measured the bulk densities of coal with two types of particle size distribution, and also estimated that. The changes with different size distribution of bulk densities could be approximately estimated. Especially, in the case that the value of space ratio excludes the wall effect was used for estimation, the relationship between estimated value and measured value became better.
