Kitchen garbage will be used as energy in urban areas and effective utilization of such biomass resources is widely expected. Kitchen garbage is dried using waste heat from a gasification device, and it is then utilized as gasification material or heating material for combustion furnaces. We checked the influence of gasification and methanol synthesis using the standard test garbage 2% salt added. Gasification gas composition etc. were investigated. As a result, realization of effective use of waste heat, reduction of waste mass, and recycling of waste are the main objectives. Practical application of a small device which can be applied to urban buildings/districts is the goal.
