Ammonia (NH3) is a serious pollutant in agricultural fields and hydrogen carrier with high hydrogen capacity of 17.8wt.%. Therefore, effective NH3-cracking technique should be established for both of the clean energy supply and wastewater treatment to protect the environments. Electrolysis of ammonia-water solution is one of attractive methods as the effective NH3 cracking. The theoretical electrolysis voltage of 0.06 V is only 5 % of 1.23 V of the electrolysis voltage of water (H2O). In this study, the electrolysis of ammonia on Pt-black electrode was investigated under various conditions.
