The present study analyses the potential of installing OTEC systems with multi-use deep sea water based on the profitability of the systems. Since the profitability differs depending on the area where the system is installed, it is evaluated considering the natural and socio-economic conditions of the installation site. The results reveal that the systems installed in remote islands of Okinawa is economically viable.
