In this study, layered double hydroxides (LDH) with magnesium and aluminum were synthesized and calcined at a temperature of 500°C. 90% of Acid red 1, anionic dye, in aqueous solution was adsorbed by the LDH. The reused test of LDH was carried out including that removal of adsorbed acid red 1 by thermal treatment at 500°C followed by ionic exchange and adsorption of acid red 1. 90% of acid red 1 was adsorbed until five times of reused test.
