Abstract

Mt. Fuji is the most famous Landscape in Japan. The historical feeling of Japanese people about Mt. Fiji is not unified. The Present Stage almost trends to mountaineering (mountain-climbing) since Meiji Period under Foreigner's suggestion. But before Meiji, Fuji feeling is affected only by beautiful sense and its heighest stage is the late Tokugawa (socalled-UKIYOE') period. If it traces back to the old origin, its feeling is up to terrible or mystery.
