Abstract
In this paper, the effects of inputs (job (part) characteristics, the number of pallets, scheduling (dispatching) rules, and functions of machining stations) into FMS on the job flow times are examined through the computer simulation based on the experimental design, in order to increase the control efficiency of its operation system. These results show that scheduling rules give a significant effect with the increasing in the number of pallets regardless of properties of stations and the number of pallets has a marked effect when the workloads of each station are unbalanced
