ジョイスティックコントローラ装備船の離着桟操船能力-II : シミュレータ実験による評価

Joy stick controller for a ship, equipped with a controllable pitch propeller, a Schilling rudder and a bow thruster, was proposed in the previous report. In this report, evaluation of the ability of berthing assisted by the proposed joy stick controller was presented. In order to evaluate the above mentioned ability, two kinds of simulation experiments were carried out using a desk top simulator and a ship handling simulator. From the viewpoint of work load of the human operator at berthing, availability of the joy stick controller were discussed on the basis of comparison with the experiments when the conventional controller was used. The experiments results were presented to prove the enough usefulness of the joy stick controller at berthing.
