The probability of the maritime distress of world tankers, calculated form the number of ships, in the Lloyd's Weekly Casualty Report, and the Lloyd's Register of Shipping Statistical Table, shows following particulars relating with the size (in gross tonnage) of the Ships. (1) The bigger tanker has the higher probability. (2) The trend of probability of continuous two periods look like each other, when the number of distress ship amount over about 500. (3) The trend of probability of heavy distress resembles closely the probability of all distress.
