In small vessels there are many kinds of autopilots, though autopilots are recently popular for their facility and good controllability. Considering these from the construction of automatic control system, we can classify them into three classes as follows: -One is corresponding to "two unit" (we say C2) for large vessels, another is to "single unit" (C1), and the third is to a new system that has a branch to feedback at receiver of telemotor (C0). In this paper we analyzed controllability in three different types of autopilots, and investigated it by analogue computer. It was ascertained that C2 type showed the best controllability and C0 was better than C1 type.
