抄録
A reagent consisting of 100cc of 0.3% HgCl2 aqueous solution, 2cc of 0.1% HCI and 5_??_8cc of ethyl alcohol as an etching reagent for cementite in carbo_??_ steel was suggested. The effects of the concentration of these constituents and the etching time were described. Technique for the etching and precautions for obtaining a consistent result were also given.
