The result of the previous report, that is the cathodic reaction may be assumed to be an oxygen electrode reaction, was found to be valid by investigating the anodic behaviours of various metals in Na2CO3 or NaOH alkaline solutions. The difference of the effect on the electrode reaction between H2O2 and K2Cr2O7 is probably due to atomic oxygen in H2O2 and adsorption of CrO=4 in K2Cr2O7.
