The increases of harmonic currents are significant problems in power electronic appliances using inverters and converters. Therefore it is required to reduce harmonic currents keeping up high power factor. For the electronic ballast of fluorescent lamps, some feasible methods to solve these problems have been proposed, for example, a disaer rectifier, active filter.
In this paper, we will propose a neutral-point type high-frequency inverter which can reduce harmonic currents and also realize high power factor. The basic behavior of the proposed circuit and experimental results will be shown.
