The author classified categories of public-private agreements against disaster and conducted the interregional comparative analysis of the agreement of potential affected municipalities by the Nankai Trough Earthquake, based on the database of disaster agreements established by the Japanese Cabinet Office. The targeted local government are municipalities facing the sea in the Shizuoka, Aichi, Mie, Wakayama, Tokushima and Kochi prefecture. The results showed prefecture-specific characteristics in the disaster agreements and applicability for support strategies of the government for the Nankai Trough Earthquake. Additionally, the author proposed a plan to improve the database of disaster agreement to make it easier for other local governments to use in the future.
