In this study, we conducted an effort to develop a mapping and information-sharing approach for emergency water supply and recovery in the water supply sector after the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024. Maps of emergency water supply stations and restoration status were developed daily, and information was shared with supporting water utilities and others using tools such as Google Maps. The impact of water outages on hospitals and educational institutions was assessed. As a result, a framework for information and intelligence strategy for emergency water supply stations and restoration status was demonstrated, and it was indicated that it is indispensable for effective disaster response in the water sector to establish a systematic information and intelligence strategy function.
