Abstract

This paper aims to clarify the way how housewives deal with information on everyday life. Questionaires were sent to 300 housewives, who were members of Hiroshima consumers'cooperative society. 130 members replied. The results were as follows: 1. Information on domestic duties was required most. 2. Contacting through personal media accounts for 46.3% of the total time for gathering information. 3. The new media was seldom used, but it was expected to be used for health care. 4. Housewives did not organize information well enough, but they expected to organize it by machines. 5. Young housewives out of employment had a positive response dealing with information on everday life.
