Abstract
The actual conditions of consumer life and consumer information in China were investigated. The authors found:(1) Cosumer life has been changing very rapidly. (2) The differences in consumer life from cultural, geographical, and economic distribution have been expanding. (3) The awareness of advertising was not so high as compared with other countries, but word-of-mouth was an important source of information. The consumer information in the monthly magazine“ChinaConsumers”of China Consumer Association includes many articles concerning consumer law, new consumer law, and the process of settlement of consumer injuries. This information is provided not only for consumers but also for entrepreneurs, because one of the purposes of consumer education in China is the growth of industry.
