Previous research on consumer education teaching materials considered only theme and content. The purpose of this research is to clarify the tendency and problem about the ability expected be acquired by teaching materials. This research focused on teaching materials the industry group issued. This research is based on the table of the ability of consumer life made in this study. All had each tendency.
For example, many teaching materials can expect to acquire the ability of ” iii action of consumer life” and ”vi household economy and economy”. But teaching materials related to ” i rights of consumer and laws” and ” ii responsibility of consumer” are insufficient. Those using knowledge for life are needed.
It is necessary to analyze the teaching materials issued by both public and private bodies consistently. And information of teaching materials about consumption life should be widely available through a database.
