The purpose of this paper is to examine Business-Sponsored Materials in consumer education,and to examine the related issues. Many consumer education materials are made by the national government, the local authority, or various institutes. However, we have had very few studies about the intention of various companies and the consumer educational policy in the business sector.
This study reveals the fellowing;
・ A lot of companies have those materials not only in paper, but also on their websites.
・ Many companies recognize the importance of consumer education, while they are worried about the method and result.
・ The business sector has to improve its effort to support the safety and security of our life, and to take care of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
・ ACAP, the association in which many companies participate, can help the business sector. It also plays an important role as a coordinator among consumers, the national and local governments,and schools.
