Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to verify whether "Japanese Mini-Miinchen" is effective as a consumer education tool to increase independent action by consumer citizens. The Mini-Miinchen is a city planning game for children started in Germany. Ten Japanese Mini-Miinchens are divided into 3 groups based on similarity. The developing economic sense type, developing consumer citizenship type, and attaching importance to identity formation type. The Japanese Mini-Miinchen is an effective for consumer education leading to independent actions because there are many activities that develop children's identity buy-man-ship, and consumer citizenship. However there are not so many activities learning global citizenship.
