Abstract
Recent research has investigated the increasing usage of online shopping by young people, and the necessity for providing consumer education about online shopping. However, it can be said that enough research has not been conducted to understand high school students’ attitudes and awareness of safe practices for online shopping. This study assessed high school students’ current usage of online shopping and examined how simulation-learning materials could affect attitudes and awareness towards safe practices for online shopping. It was found that students used their parents’ credit cards and shopped without parental supervision. The results also indicated that simulation-learning materials were more effective for junior high school students than for senior high school students.
