Abstract
The aim of this study was to define and identify the fundamental values involved in the decision-makig employed by students in their autonomous food life. The working hypothesis verified was:there is a difference between junior and senior high school students in actual self and idealized self on value consciousness and behavior concerning their eating habits. The subjects were 478 junior high and 517 senior high school students. They were asked about skipping or going without breakfast, having meals alone and others. The results were as follows:there was a clear difference on value consciousness and behavior between junior and senior high school students. Also, there was a definite gap between ideal eating habits and actual habits.
