A New Species of the Genus Canna (Cannaceae) from Eastern Honduras

Abstract

Canna tulianensis Nb. Tanaka is described from eastern Honduras as new to science. This species is especially tall within the genus Canna, and is characterized by its many-branched inflorescences, large, peduncled flowers with three conspicuously patent, elongate staminodes, and by its small capsules and seeds.
