Abstract

The crisis of the reproducibility in psychology was pointed out a long time ago. Efforts to improve the reproducibility in psychology and cognitive behavioral therapy research have not yet progressed sufficiently. This paper overviewed the reproducibility crisis in psychology related to cognitive behavioral therapy and discussed strategies for overcoming it. We pointed out the problems in each reproducibility, based on the three forms (methods, results, and inferential) proposed by Goodman et al. (2016). We also explain how these problems can be overcome. Although the three forms for reproducibility mainly deal with the research practices of individual researchers, it has become essential to position research practices in society and enhance the value of research. Therefore, we also discuss the prioritization of research questions to increase the value of research later in the paper.
