Abstract

A questionnaire survey was prepared dealing with the infiuence of students’ direct and indirect experiences with crayfish (Procambarus clarki) on their degree of understanding morphological characteristics and habits of crayfish.

With “the level of understaning of morphological characteristics and habits” as the dependent variable and with “experience of observing”, “experience of collecting”, “experience of handling”, “experience of keeping”, “experience of reading books” and “experience of watching television” as six independent variables, multiple regression analysis was applied.

The results clarified that “the experience of handling”, “experience of collecting” and “experience of reading books” crayfish exerted the mostinfluence on the level of students’ degree of understanding the morphological characteristics and habits of crayfish.
