Abstract
In this study we tried to find a mechanism of relieving the fear of blushing by reciprocal inhibition. The result of the study suggests that the fear of blushing is caused mainly by excessive attention to the face and the anticipation of blushing rather than by actually meeting people. The study also suggetsts that the kind of training aiming at causing a response reciprocal to blusing is an effective therapeutic approach.
