Abstract

I had reported in this journal (Vol. 2 No. 1), the prognostic prediction of delinquency during the time of compulsory education with check list made by statistical operation of Rorschach protocols of pre-school children.

This paper tries to check the usefulness of prediction by blind analysis of Rorschach protocols of pre-school children.

The results of over all evaluations predicted future delinquents with 0.1% level by X2 test. Thirty-three children who fitted the prediction were analysed by the Schachtel’s table, and seventeen personality traits which were concerned with delinquencies were found.

Some sample cases were illustrated. They were given the Rorschach test every year from six years old to twelve years old, and in fifteen years old.

Among them, K. N. who had been predicted to become delinquent and really became delinquent; YO who had been predicted to become delinquent and did not become delinquent; and J. T. who had been predicted not to become delinquent and really did not become delinquent.

Correlation between changes of protocols and delinquencies was checked by blind method. Though they fitted realities, they needed support of environmental factors in order to prognosticate more accurately.
