Abstract
We report a case of primary T-cell malignant lymphoma of the ileum diagnosed preoperatively. A 64-year-old man hospitalized for right lower quadrant pain and constipation demonstrated ulceration of the ileumon colonoscopy. Immunohistochemical staining of biopsy specimens showed the presence of T-cell malignantlymphoma. Radiographic studies of the small intestine elucidated fistula formation between the ileum and ascendingcolon. The huge ulceration and coloenteric fistula of the ileocecal region necessitated right hemicolectomy.T-cell malignant lymphoma is rare, and its prognosis is much poorer than that of B-cell lymphoma. Weperformed 4 courses of CHOP as adjuvant chemotherapy. The patients remains alive 2 years and 8 monthspostoperatively.
