High voltage cutout fuses have been used in 22 kV distribution systems as primary switching protection devices. We have developed a current-limiting fuse with stainless steel wires which is in low cost and simple design. It has confirmed that has possesses better similar performance characteristics such as a shorter melting time than JEM rules.
