A non-photorealistic rendering method has been proposed for generating stripe-art images from photographic images. Stripe-art images are used for image processing purposes in personal computers and smart phones, and visual effects can be improved by generating stripe-art animations from photographic videos. However, when stripe-art images are generated from each frame of videos and stripe-art animation is generated from stripe-art images (usual stripe-art animations), flickering occurs in stripe-art animations. In this paper, we propose a method for generating stripe-art animations that have characteristic with less flicker from photographic movies. The effectiveness of the proposed method is investigated experimentally. As a result of the experiments, the proposed stripe-art animations had less flicker than the usual stripe-art animations.
