These observations were made by myself in my residence in Tokyo, mostly from 1956 to 1958. I frequently observed a few species of wild ducks in a medium sized flying aviary with a small pond some 4 feet deep situated close to my room. The present paper contains some 14 items concerning the habits of several ducks in captivity as follows:
1. Winter morning. 2. Bathing habits. 3. Methods and modes of eating diets (grains and animal foods). 4. Sleepings. 5. Quarrels. 6. Pressing chest each other. 7. Special caracteristics of Wigeons. 8. Speciality on habits of Mandarin Ducks. 9. A definite female for a male Mallard. 10. Habits of Gadwalls. 11. Formosan and Baikals. 12. Garganey. 13. A few other miscellaneous notes. 14. Special habits of a Merganser.
