This reports on a statistical analysis of a questionnaire survey which was conducted on two information literacy classes in liberal arts. From 2006 in Japan all high school graduates have finished information literacy courses before starting their college work. Therefore in 2006 we have two different kinds of students in one information literacy class, one has had an information literacy course in high school and the others has not. One of the purposes of this survey is to find out if there exists achievement gaps on information literacy between these two groups.
We computed two correlations among information literacy in high school and university. However, we could not find any correlation between the information literacy and the average grades of the groups and the classes. For instance, even some students who did not have information literacy course in high school have the average grade higher than others.
