Abstract
In some Secondary school classes pair learning is used to teach subjects like programming and technical drawing. Previous studies have only focused on measuring the improvement of students' scores due to pair learning. In this research, we focus on the effect of existing learning network on pair learning. We formulated three pairing methods: Students Own Choice Based, Learning Network Based and Score Based. Students’ Own Choice Based means each student freely chooses a student to be paired with. In Learning Network based, students are paired up with those who have collaborated with in the past. In the Score based, students who have high score are paired up with those who have low score. We evaluated the pairing methods according to their test results. Our results show that students paired with someone in their previous learning network made the highest score improvement
